You know? I was so focused on getting good pics and I was cleaning out her nest box at the same time I forgot to check. I'll check here shortly when they come out from under her again.

Doing great. I haven't been able to get too close for pics as when Chloe brings them out, she's full attack mode. Viscous momma. But I haven't seen any other head spots.

W/W has 6 more of Solo's eggs due Thursday, I just checked on her and she has one hatched already 2 days early. So hoping to see more tomorrow.

And, Lil Black has 5 W/R eggs (Ravens daughter) due Thursday also.

Brinsea is due Thursday also..(it's like I timed it ) so them are in lockdown. Moved all OE eggs over to 360. I think I'm going to put 6 of Coppers eggs in a hatching bag and if they don't all sell I'll at least have them separated out as I haven't done her test hatch yet.

How many eggs do you recommend setting under a first time broody? She’s been sitting for 3 or 4 days and I have plenty of eggs ready for her.

If you mean a marans I’d go for 10, candle half way through and discard any blanks to free up space and ensure the remaining get the best treatment.

I set 10 under Chloe. She hatched 7, 3 were clears and I added the head spot chick.

Still only the 1 chick under W/W so 5 eggs still remain. These are Solo's also. Hatchday is technically tomorrow.

Lots of chirping going on in the Brinsea 56. I did separate 5 of Coppers eggs into a hatching bag as I haven't been able to hatch any from her yet.

She’s a marans/easter egger mix. Shes large and always been a good free ranger. I’ll give her 10 and fill up the incubator with the rest.
@wrathsfarm i picked up a dozen from the farm I got my original birds. They’re similar in shade as mine, but less red and more brown.

Lovely color... I'd like to see that more brown color in mine eventually. Mine are all reddish.

Now hatch some boys and keep 1.... Or 4.
