Sad update, I turned the incubator off yesterday and checked all the remaining eggs and none developed.
Scrambled from shipping I'm assuming. There was one that had a slight embryo but quit. 😞

This is in no way, shape or form a reflection on @Bantambird. These were packed perfectly, shipped Priority and she's been in contact thru every step, above and beyond and answering all my questions.
I would not hesitate to get eggs from her again and hopefully will here next spring because I need more...🙂

I don't know enough to know exactly what went wrong, so thoughts are welcome. But I do know that's the chance we take when shipping or receiving eggs and the in between we can't control. So I press forward.... ♥️

Truth, shipping has been disastrous on eggs this year. I hatched 6 out of 14 the first round, and 1 out of I think it was 16 the second time this year.

I'm glad I know of a good BBS Marans egg source, just in case I "need" some next spring (which I think I do...) :lau

Wow...sorry. I definitely feel your pain and it sucks being in that club.
Pulls on the heartstrings when you wanted something so bad for so long and finally get the opportunity.

I got my wish for boys from Kong x Betty's eggs. I see 4 out of the 5 at 3 weeks old....🤣

Green band has the brown head spot ... (facing right in front of Momma).
I'm told this brown head spot is a sign of purity in BCMs, so this little man will stay for sure to watch. I'll get some better pics over the weekend as I need to check the leg bands.
