Wrath's Marans

It might be a recessive white one, too. I do have recessive white in my flock. You will know for sure in about a week when the first feathers come in. If there is any splashy marks, it is splash. If not, it is probably recessive white.
Ok thanks, I'm sure I'll keep ya in pics...♥️

You lost me there.. not your fault, I just haven't been able to retain any of this knowledge yet.
Recessive white will cover any other colored genes underneath. It takes 2 Recessive white genes for it to show up, but without the Recessive white, it could be black silver, blue silver, or splash without the white gene.

The not-so-good update. Raven was off the nest yesterday for the better part of the day. Then I noticed she was pulling the remaining eggs out and had broken one. I collected the eggs and put them in the incubator. I did candle them and most of them showed development but in my haste I didn't notice any movement.
Today is day 23, I'm going to candle all of them tonight and check for movement and by morning call the hatch done.

The good news...
The 2 little ones are doing fabulous tho. She's proving to be a great first time momma. I'm going to get them out today into a temporary run I have and I'll get some pics.

I've been busy trying to working on a duck coop and expanding the Marans coop, now the heat is here so more water change outs and had to add more fans... so I apologize for not posting more pics.

Raven showed no interest in going outside with her 2, just content with letting them explore the coop. It was blistering hot out, so I was good with that, and gave me the opportunity to refresh her nest box for them.
