Thanks...she sure stands out like a 'Rose in a thorn bush' amongst all the black birds.

But I'm hoping one is a girl or my BBS flock just came to a standstill with 2 boys.

If you had hatched a blue or splash, could you cross those with you BCMs to make BBS marams, or are they completely different lines?

Princess is a total rose! She's going to be gorgeous, she's going to need a proper princess nesting box though I'm thinking pink with white trim and special fluffy nesting material.

The BBS are silver based. BCM is gold.

She makes 8 of the 9 hens in the Marans camp to go broody.
