I’ve never known them go broody, that’s very interesting.
James and Slash were my boys, Angus, Jimmy and Brian were pullets. Angus was shorter than the others!

Right! Everything I’ve read said the broodiness was bred out of RSLs. Not one but two of mine go broody, literally as I type. I’ve got one on day 11 on her 3rd clutch. It’s a hoot to watch, she walks around to use the bathroom and such, puffed out 3xs her size. She looks like an angry turkey.

Absolutely! Lockdown is officially underway, there are 7 Christy OE backcrossed to Marans eggs, and 18 Marans with eggs from P, P/O, P/G, W/R, Momma, Jett, and Raven!

And I must confess, I have no clue if they are alive or have quit, the only ones I pulled were the ones that were obvious clears. There were a few that when I candled them they just glowed, so anything that didn't glow, is in lockdown

They should be hatching tomorrow and Saturday!
