Wrinkly eggs.

If there are no symptoms, no, no need to separate her. It's probably already passed through her system, if that was indeed the cause. I'm not saying for sure that it was IB, but those are textbook eggs from a bout with it. Are the whites watery?

Here are things to read about it:

From the Merck veterinary manual's article on IB:

I am so glad I read this thread a few days ago. Today I got a wrinkly egg. It was huge. We cracked it open and it was a double yoker. If I had not read about it before I would have freaked out!

I am so glad that you posted this thread. I know it is over a month ld, but it is new to me today and very valuable information! I have gotten 2 wrinkled eggs now from one of my 1-year old hens.

Speckledhen, thanks for the great links!!

I agree with Speckled Hen, if you get these consistantly from one layer, she probably went a round with Infectious Bronchitis at some point.

I have a hen that is a year and four months old that lays eggs that look identical to the ones you posted, she is the only hen that lays them that way out of a dozen from the same hatch, they are kept in a hen house, fed layer feed and scratch grains, and I have no idea why her eggs are deformed and the others are fine.
