There is nothing wrong with eating a Silkie. The skin, meat and bones are just black... nothing different other than pigment.

I think this should be in meat birds, too.. Of all chickens, I think a silkie would be the one I would not ever eat.. To each there own, I guess, but I second the EWWW....

Silkies are the same as any bird, they just different. We slaughter regular looking chickens without a second thought, why should a Silkie be different? JMHO
