wrong way pip questionable membrane

I think I would up the humidity a little more if I had one that pipped wrong, seeing as he got stuck. I would also wait a little longer to help unstick as he did have a very see through belly when he hatched. I have yet to see if he will survive and thrive. Having been through a wrong way pipper now, I will go to bed and worry about it after 24 hours with no progress! HAHAHAH. I think he would have been fine to get himself out if he hadn't gotten dried to the membrane on his back which stopped him from being able to turn anymore.

From the shipped egg experience I have learned that I am going to let my eggs sit for at least a day before I incubate them and I am going to practice a lot higher, stricter sterilization and hygiene when handling eggs. I have yet to crack open any, don't really want to, but they look from the outside like they are contaminated. I also am going to think long and hard before I buy eggs that expensive again. for the two chicks I could have bought two full grown, egg laying hens for the same price.

My first hatch I didn't fry (the second batch of eggs) I had a four out of five hatch rate. This hatch had a total of 50 eggs between two incubators and I only hatched ten chicks. I am disappointed and discouraged, so I have to do more reading, learning and such. I had the temps perfect and I had the humidity perfect, so now I have to look at the only thing I am not doing which is being uber sterile.
