Wry Neck - Confused about treatment

Pics
Oh I know about the hours lol- I have spent them daily with this girl... But hopefully it will be worth it :)
She can definitely balance herself better. If she goes to fall she rights herself. She is still only sitting but use to FALL over. Not anymore, so that's an improvement.
Her crop is completely empty each morning do that's great too. 2nd day on the vitamin B and I think she has a little better control of her neck. ( not a lot just a little) I'm happy for any improvement at this stage as she is definitely a fighter & deserves to live if I can get her better.
Question- because her neck has been twisted for so long :( and she is still holding it to the side, is it possible for it or her to completely untwist it? Or will she have a crook neck forever?? I've been massaging it and when I hold it at the base ( near her body) she has soooo much more control of her head with eating and lifting her beak for swallows... If I don't hold it ( lightly) her head kinda flicks around when she tries to lift her beak to swallow.
I know 4 weeks is a long time, but she is determined to stay alive, her poo is back to light brown & considering she's not eating from the ground I'm happy she's pooing lol.....
She is eating heaps ATM and finishing her day with a huge crop...
Ill keep going so fingers x she pulls through this- poor pet...

Sounds like she's slowly improving, that is great to hear..As long as she can gain control of her neck at some point I think she will be OK. She may stilll have a slight curve but nothing to stress over but then again she may fully recover and look as if there was nothing ever wrong. LOL..

She's a good fighter, has the will to live. NICE

Important thing is to make sure she eats well and poops, once one of these things stop, then you can exspect her to decline quickly. As long as these things are still going, means her system internally is still working well and no damage yet. I say yet because of the length of time she's been sick..

Is her toes curling in anyway? Can she straighten them out? I know you said she can grip your fingers which is good.

I got to admit I'm TRUELY AMAZED at her, 4 weeks she's been down and still trying to fight to live. Absolutely AMAZING. She's a real TROUPER.. I hope she really pulls threw and ends up living a long time for you..

I know it's got to be stressful and tiring on your part but you are doing WONDERFUL. Keep your chin up, we are all hoping for a Great outcome..

To be honest I am amazed with this girl too :) she is giving it all she's got!! No her toes aren't curled at all but she is still sitting more on the back of what I call her heal lol ( hocks I think?) if I lift her she will settle in the correct position, but as she moves she pushes backwards and sits more on her tail... I'm not sure why this happens. Also as she is eating she lifted both head and body UP not sure why she does this either?
Last night while feeding it took a bit longer because she decided she was going to eat more like a chicken lol. She would peck or scoup the food before flicking it into her beak. I think this is a good sign too. She definitely seems brighter these last 2 days and I've now made her a kinda sling out of an old cloth nappy ( hehe) I put her feet through 2 jokes I cut and the rest of the nappy supports her body so she can stand and get some strength back into her legs.. She doesn't love it but for 1 hour a day I put her in it...
Ill definitely keep you updated... I'm so proud of my girl :)

Oh I forgot to ask- her poo has been a really light brown consistent colour- BUT this morning it has a swirl of white through it. Is that good? I'm thinking yes but not sure why it's changed when her food hasn't.
And poop- my goodness can this girl poo!! I'm changing towels all day long. Not a nice chore washing pooy chicken towels lol

Also, I'm just wondering if anyone would know how long it may take for her to gain weight and get her balance back? The fact that she isn't walking around I'd have thought she'd gain weight quiet quickly if she continues to eat the way she is- but I'm only guessing? Any opinions would be appreciated thanks

If she's eating like a pig, she is on the right track, does she eat on her own?? Or are you still feeding her. it may take away before she gains her weight. she's been sick for so long. Poor thing. OMG, what a trooper, what a fighter.. WOOOOW.

The white stuff is a very good sign, this is her body's way of urinating.

Thank you for answering, I do feel alone treating my girl :)
I never thought I'd be excited to see white swirls in her poo lol.. Can I ask why you think this hasn't been in her previous poos?
Yes she is eating like a trooper- FULL crop 3 times a day ;) and totally empty before each feed. I'm still feeding her but she is trying to eat more like a chicken. She pecks at the food ( I'm making the mash a little stiffer now) and flicks it into her beak. She doesn't ave complete control of her neck just yet & I find if I put a little tension on one side of the base of her neck she is fine and can peck, flick eat and swallow ( raising her head) quiet well. If I let go of that neck re rad seems to twist and she becomes unco ordinated.. She tries to stand up constantly while feeding and still backs up while eating. I'm guessing its because she is still weak & has been sitting in a box for 4 weeks now :(
Truly believe she is improving- I just hope she does regain her strength and is able to eat on her own. If she has improved the way she has ( remember her head was completely backwards & facing her tail) I'm thinking each day is a step closer...
Do you have an opinion on how long this could take if she is recovering? I think I read somewhere it can take up to 3 months- does that sound right?
