Wry neck in a silkie!

Hi there.
I have a silkie with wry neck at the moment... chirping happily.

Fantastic post and I will steal some ideas from it!

Her daily regimen right now is:

400ui Vitamin E
25-50mcg selenium
.25ml prednosone
.5ml Poly Vi Sol
.75ml nutri-drench

We feed to mouth via syringe every day. She also eats some egg yolk, too. We saw improvements yesterday, and today was a bit worse... so it's up and down. Going to try feeding her some sardines, too!

Let me know how she goes! Sorry to hear that the poor girl wasn't so good today.

Update ... day 4 on the vit e diet ...
Kasia (my silkie) still had a slightly crooked neck but no ceisures at all and now able to drink water from her bowl and eating some of her regular scratch mix independently.
She has heaps of energy and looking rather more chicken-like in scratching around the enclosure we have her in.

Added scrambled egg with added vit e and a touch of marmite (for b vitamins) as her dinner but keeping her on soaked sardines in the morning ... also adding shelled sunflower seeds to the soak mix ... and yogurt with vit e oil at lunch.

Good luck with your girl ... hope she perks up soon.
