Wry neck?? Please help!

We have an almost 2 month old RIR and this just started yesterday. Any ideas on if this is wry neck and if so what treatments are there?? Thank you in advance!!

Yes that is torticolis or wry neck. It is a neurological symptom of certain infectious diseases, head injury, or a vitamin deficiency. It also can be a symptom of Mareks disease, and can be genetic. I would treat her with vitamin B1 (thiamine,) vitamin E, and selenium. Poultry Nutri-drench and Poultry Cell vitamins contain all of those, or you can use a powdered poultry vitamin in the water, and add selenium by feeding egg and chopped nuts to the diet. Reduce any excess stimulation, and she will need help eating and drinking. I hope you can help her get over this, as it sometimes takes a bit of time. Some never recover.
