I have a pair of Pilgrim geese that are about 5/6 months old. Can someone tell me if this is wry tail on my female?

I am subscribing to see what others have to say. I have never seen wry tail in waterfowl, but that sure looks like it to me.
I read it in a book by David Holderread called The Book of Geese. I was going to breed them but read it's a bone deformity and she should be culled. :(

Has her tail been like that since she was a gosling ?

Not that I can remember. I got them at 6 weeks and only have recently noticed it. She wags her tail a lot but I'm not sure if that's a symptom? She usually carries her tail like the last picture where it's only slightly off to the side but she will off and on carry it over exaggerated to the one side. Her tail is definitely not as straight as the gander's.

I was just wondering if there was any chance her tail might have been injured.

If it was not crooked from birth, then it looks like an injury to me. Waterfowl will hold tails like that when feeling discomfort or if they have experienced nerve damage (temporary or permanent).
