I saw some on eggbid, not sure about the quality of the birds.

It will be difficult to get lavender eggs from anyone...God knows I've tried!!

There are some on eggbid right now and the type isn't horrible...at least not as bad as hatchery lavenders. I won't even try with them because it will take too long to breed in the standards crossing with even the BEST blacks.

I have one lavender egg in my incubator that is still growing a chick. The other 9 didn't survive the Post Office.

The seller is, however, sending me 4-5 more for shipping cost only... for which I am very grateful.

I got them from Jennifer Cole-Hiatt off Ebay.

I also have a few coming from another breeder from Ohio. They will be lavenders and split lavenders. I've been asked not to share this source and she rarely sells eggs. Again, I'm so grateful for her willingness to sell me a few. Absolutely gorgeous birds!

I did get a PM from someone who is going to put some lavender birds on eggbid in September, so keep your eye out.

Oldtimegator - does this Ohio breeder sell birds? I am a biginner hatcher, but if I get a bird that is already alive, I do a decent job of keeping it that way

Thanks, I saw their websuite, They want $30 for 3 eggs.
it would be my luck I buy them and now hatch. think thats alot for 3 and not get at least one chick from it.

Yeah...their eggs are way expensive. If you could pick them up, that wouldn't be too bad. Also, I think they have lavender chicks for sale right now. If I could, I'd make a trip to Va to pick up chicks
