WTFreak/OMG Moment... Chick climbing fences?!?!?

I'v had game hens and pullets fly 40 feet straight up into a large sycamore tree then they were surprised or threatened by a predator. So yes it would be relatively easy for a chick to use its feet and wings coupled with its innate sense of balance to climb 10 feet up a wire wall that offered good toeholds like that offered by quarter inch hardware cloth.

Fourth feet! Some of my hens can’t even reach five feet!

I had a girl that when I got her, her wings, both were clipped to arms. Poor girl, any way she could jump 8 feet to a limb she wanted to set on, right next to the 4 foot fence.
Most of my escape artists find a crack to squeeze through, like at a gate. However climbing over might explain a few things. Now mine are 2-3 days old and in the brood house, on the run. I go out to check on them (must check often), this is their first day out. Well 2 of them are not only out, but all the way to the garden, about 50 feet away (lots of cover). As soon as they spot me they head for the coop, I got one the other hid. And being an EE it can hide well! My dog watched me hunting it, smelled around and told me "here it is daddy", I am so proud of him!
And yes another inspection of the brood house and it's run was done, mods made,,,,fingers crossed,,,
I too would luv to see a vid,,,
