WTH, Zeus just tries mate with my head

He missed you so much yesterday he just couldn't help himself!:lau

To be serious though, although you have dealt with mean roosters before, are you absolutely sure he wasn't aggressive? He is the perfect age for such behavior to begin. He is trying to make you part of his flock.

Not 100% sure hes not being aggressive
Let me tell you about him
He was never top of the pecking order, the little bantan roos used to pick on him where he would run and hide in a corner with his head tucked
He also would run to me and have me hold him, he also likes to put his head in my lap for Pat's, he will push my arms up like a dog who wants pats
So hes always been sweet,
With that said, few months back he started trying to mate with my feet as soon as I let him out of the coop, he would jump down out of the coop peck at my shoes and try to go to town, I try to walk he is always pecking or just staying in front of my feet so I am tripping on him,
He only has this behavior if I am standing or walking
If I am sitting like I do often with them in the run he will want his patting, he wont peck at me or things like that

Hes can't jump more than a half inch off the ground thank God lol
Hes never tried to kick me or fight me

Hes just wacky lol
Love him to death though

He also might be going a little stir crazy. It's his first winter and non of them want to go outside the coop so hes literally been cooped up lol

I never thought about the significance of names but you may be onto something. My two aggressive roosters had very powerful names. My man Buffalo is a gentleman. He was given the name because of his giant poofy buffalo head as a chick. He’s an EE.
I would be very wary of Zeus. It may never escalate but I would be waiting for it do do just that.

Lol buffalo head

I think maybe I gave him the right name because if you are familiar with Greek myth Zeus was rather a ladies man to put it politely lol
Trust me I keep my eye on him

Mine don’t want to walk on the snow at first either. But I encourage them to get out. I stomp down the snow in tracks and then sprinkle straw or old hay or leaves. Basically anything they recognize as footing. Then a few shakes of seeds or whatever treats and they are out and about.

If he is indeed a mellow bird, and if you feel fine picking him up, try giving a few gentle but firm pecks with your finger on the back of his head until he lowers his head, than keep it down gently for a few seconds. It can help with any dominance issues, don't need him thinking you are one of his ladies. Helped with my spunky BJG who was definately more challenging in his behavior. You have a beautiful boy, seems like Light Brahmas are the Brahma of choice in NH!

My rooster was my favorite. He was low man on the totem pole, gentle, let me pick him up, pet him, bathe him when necessary. Then we realised he was a he when he crowed. Shortly after that he started becoming aggressive. It escalated until he started drawing blood. He is now in a bachelor pad so I don't have to deal with his aggression.
That being said, your boy sounds a bit more friendly. Hopefully he will learn you aren't one of his hens and will be one of those wonderful rooster I hear about.
Maybe someday I'll have a nice rooster too. Good luck!

Zeus was on their little table next to me and out of no where jumped on my head and tried to mate with me.

:gigZeus, throwing bolts from above!

Seriously though, I’ve read here many times about friendly, frequently handled and hand fed cockerels causing trouble when they come into puberty. I would wear a cowboy hat for a while, just in case. You don’t want those big toenails to land on your face. Maybe you can ease him back in line with the advice folks have offered. I hope so... he’s a beautiful boy. I would hate to lose him if he were mine.

If it doesn’t seem to be working out, well, there are always more roosters. Unless he’s a valuable breeder, necessary for your plans, I’m not sure I’d put up with very much of that kind of behavior. It’s not only dangerous to you, but to anyone else who might come into contact with him—especially children.
