Could your baby Cochins be what they call lemon-blue Cochins? I've seen them sold on eBay. I have no idea if that's an actual color ...

All of them are just adorable!

I do understand the chicken craze, first hand ... but I'm having to wind down my chick extravaganza ... just nine Turkens (and four heritage turkeys!) in the incubator now. However, I have more than 60 babies of various ages and breeds ... and I'm a backyard chicken keeper ... I must rehome the roos and possibly even some pullets! My sons moved my babies from the living room into the garage yesterday while I was at work, because they said they smell bad no matter how often I clean the brooders ... sigh.

I am so glad we found 6 acres in the country! LOL

I just seperated my 2 Easter Eggers and the 5 Cornish Rocks into seperate cages, The rocks were just getting so big, I was scared I was going to come home one day and find one of my EEs torn up or something. The EEs do have one Cornish Rock for company, he has a leg problem and the other CRs were knocking him down. He's doing very well, in with the EEs and his mobility is about 100% now. When I seperated the breeds I went ahead and moved them into my utility room/laundry room. Next weekend I think the CRs will be moved outside to the 12x12 enclosed coop with a heat lamp...they're just growing so fast!

If my D'Uccles don't hatch anymore than the one or two I have (I have a couple more days in the incubator on them) then my butt is going to be down there getting a couple. Heck, I might even check out the Cochin Bantams - not sure yet on them. Rubbing hands together - greedy for chicks even though I have thirty chicks right now.

soooo chick number 3, which seams to be the one I got a couple different responses on, has wing feathers coming in looks like tan with black spots......I'll post pics when my kiddos get home and they can help me get pics with his lil wings opened...but thoughts until then?

I'm thinking #3 is a Mille Fleur D'Uccle. I have two just like it in my "bantie brooder". Also from TSC! LOL.

Yeah, that's what I was leaning towards, when I saw the dark spots appearing on the wings. How kewl...it's kinda neat to uncover what these guys are and watch them grom.

Now I wanna try and figure out what breed is the base on my new little frizzle chick.

Do you have any update pics? I Love to see them grow. Some of mine have reached the 3-4 week alien stage. Part feathers Part Fluff.

I got 13 more Silver Sebrights yesterday 1-3weeks old. Peeked in a little while ago. nothing but a mass of feathers and little bitty eyes looking up at me from near the heat lamp, lol.
