woke up with my daughter screaming... neighbors pitbull in my yard trying kill my dog... it had my dog by the throat .. my nephew ran out there and had to punch him in the mouth to get him to let go... this dog always comes down here attacking my dog in my yard... the keep bringing him here when they ride thier fourwheeler... and the same thing keeps happening... this was the last straw... hubby told him he was gonna shoot it if he catches him in my yard again... it used to be two pit bulls but one of the nieghbors shot the other one last week for chasing his horses... so they removed this one from thier home and brought it back tonight... they told hubby they are moving this week(thank god)... theese are 3 adult men (in thiere 20s) who asked if my 16 yr. old daughter and 17 yr old son could ride with themon the 4 wheeler at 1 am (they were drunk..) they drink from when the get home from work til the go to bed at 2 or 3 in morning... I am sorry to rant... I am so mad I cannot sleep at the moment

Is your dog hurt?

Sorry to hear that. We used to have a pot bellied pig and our neighbor's pit bull killed it. And she was a BIG pig too. At least 200 lbs. 12 years old. She got attacked one day, and never recovered. Died a few weeks later.

It's not the dog's fault. It's the owner. You should at the least file a formal complaint so you have something on record. And do it everytime this type of thing happens. Best of luck.

I would have shot that thing the first time it happened! i can shoot a fox when its attacking my chickens i will sure as heck shoot a ugly little pitbull attacking one of my dogs!! there 1000's more dogs then there are fox!!

in most counties here in oder to own a pitbull you must take a bond out with the county, i'm not sure how much it is but it's a lot, if this has happend more then one the next time i would shot the dog and call the cops.

my dog seems to be fine... he has a puncture to his neck... I got on to my nephew because what if the dog turned on him.... my dh didn't want to cause trouble with our nieghbors...but this is the straw that broke the camels back... they are taking the dog to his parent house... they tried to tell hubby that my dog attacked thier dog all of the time... which is not true... I have witnesses that their dog attacks mine in my front yard... they said hes just a puppy... the dog is at least a year old... they are always apologizing to us for their dog attacking mine... they will be gone monday... I hope the next people to move in are better neighbors... well i am gonna try to go to sleep...

So sorry to hear about your dog! I just took in a trouble maker, but she wasn't attacking and trying to kill my dogs either. That dog, whether it was a pitt or not, would have been taken care of a LONG time ago. Good for your neighbor, glad they took care of the other dog. I honestly feel sad for the dog though... It's not their fault, it's the idiots that own them

I'm sorry this happened, but thankful it was not one of the kids. Your nephew was being brave but that could have gone south quickly had the dog turned on him.

Would definitely call the cops. Glad they are moving -- good riddance.
