WV MD PA VA Chickenstock TSC Sat. April 23,2011

I am very, very new to this and this would be my very first chickenstock but I have hatched a bunch of silkie boys and was thinking about bringing them to this.
I have not had mine tested for anything and I had seen on the flyer about testing the morning of the event?
Could I just bring my boys, be tested and if all is OK, sell them???

Thanks for any help!!!

Have you ever had your birds AI tested? All birds should be tested AI clean within ten days of crossing state lines.

No I haven't and I don't know how to go about to have this done??? Looks like I can't bring mine then because the swap is tomorrow.

I thought WV relaxed the rules a bit and all birds under 6 months of age were exempt from needing testing. I hope that is the case or I cannot sell either.. I'll be there with my birds. The worst that can happen is they ask you to leave. But, Im pretty sure all birds under 6 months of age are fine.

ok Im ready and organized

When I brought ducks and chicks to last Springs Chickenstock, the tester guy semi-talked sternly to me for not having papers. He said I needed papers to bring any birds into WV and then he only had to test chickens over 6 months, not ducks. I don't know if its changed now or not.

I went ahead and sold everything I brought while he was busy testing and he didn't make me leave, but made it clear I shouldn't do it again lol.

If I don't need papers for chicks or juvies, I will bring some of my own to sell! But I haven't had any of my birds tested and have no papers...don't want chastised again. Can someone find out from the tester?
