WV MD PA VA Chickenstock TSC Sat. September 25th

It starts tonight and goes 'til next Sat but alot of the animals leave early that day.
It's close to Gower's. If they open the new 4 lane from Martinsburg to Kearneysville the best way is probably Rt 9 to the exit at Bardane onto Wiltshire Rd (South I believe, it would be R at the end of the exit coming from Berk Co) Follow Wiltshire to the end, turn R onto Leetown Pike and the fair is just up on the Right.
Or, you can take Rt 9 to Kearneysville and turn R onto Leetown Rd (rt 1) for a few miles then L onto Leetown Pike. The fair will be a couple miles up on the left.

Judging of the poultry at the Jefferson County Fair started at 5:30 tonight. The weather has changed and brought some relief to the hot temps. Good for the critters. Later in the evening, a light rain started to fall. We needed that too. I'll go back tomorrow to see how the birds made out in the competition. Bantam lovers are in luck, lots of really interesting birds. Pleanty of standards too.

Pics of the Meat bird cross.
Ones for sale for Layers, or to produce your own line.
