WV MD PA VA Chickenstock TSC Sat. September 25th

Good idea sorry it did not work out this time.

Update : 24 eggs are looking good and if all goes well there should be a good amount for the sale.
I might be getting out of the Exchequer Leghorns would anyone want a young quad? Would have to be a very good home as they are very sweet.
If anyone would want them please pm me . If no pms I don't know if I'll have them at the swap or not. Thanks

Last day to see the birds (and rabbits) at the Jefferson County Fair. Tonight they are featuring the "noisy machines" in the tractor pull, for those who care. Chickenstock is only four weeks away!

I am SOOOOO excited I found this thread when I did! I have some bantam polish and a couple bantam cochins I can bring! I also have a blue EE cockerel and another GORGEOUS EE cockerel.

I'd like to know who is bringing the flemmish giant rabbits!!!

It looks like the Fall Chickenstock at Central Tractor will be bigger than the one held in July at Gower's Feed. I am now selling my chicken crates on the Internet and those customers get my immediate attention. The reason I mention this is if anyone is interested in a carrier for the September chickenstock, I would suggest that they get in touch with me well before the 25th. I keep carriers in stock, but that is mainly for Internet sales. I can fit in crates for local buyers, but it would help if I knew in advance. Recently I made a special carrier for a local person. It was bigger than my normal chicken crate, but it did turn out extremely well.

I don't normally make large crates because they require a lot of time and use more than 100 dowels. They also fall into the "oversize" category for UPS and FedEx. My regular crate just fits under the UPS radar and ships for a normal rate. The regular crate is almost 3 cubic feet in size (24 x 18 x 12) and fits the needs of most backyard chicken fanciers. Here's a pic of my regular crate.

Folks that live in the eastern panhandle of West Virginia can email me if they are interested in the regular crates. If I know in advance, I can make one for you in time for the Fall Chickenstock. I can probably arrange local delivery and save you the UPS charges also. Thanks, Lowery's Woodworking
