WV PA MD VA Chickenstock in Martinsburg, WV. Sat. April 25th 10 -2

I'm new on the boards, but saw an ad on Craigslist for the Chickenstock in WV. I am planning on coming out to attend. Hubby finally agreed to get some chicks and I am soo excited. I've been doing tons of research on this site and a few others. Not sure what type to get, but I have little ones and a granddaughter so I'm leaning toward the more calmer breeds.
Anyway, I hope to meet all of you there and look forward to learning more about chickens!

We'll have a lot of variety so you'll have plenty to ponder over. And feel free to chat with us about what we love about our chickens. I've been on this site for more than a year now and I thought I knew a lot about birds before... well, I've learned more this past year than all the rest of 'em put together. This a great place to be when you have questions.

See ya on Saturday!!

I am super pumped

I borrowed a buddies trailer to haul all my stuff. It's gonna be a hot one, ladies so make sure you have enough water and even an umbrella or something to tie to the back of a chair to sit in some shade. Im bringing a pop up canopy so we can squeeze under that. Im thinking about setting up under the trees instead of the end of the parking lot where the sun will blast us. The trees are just flowering cherries or something so they're not big ..but it will give us some shade.

Tammy, maybe we can go in Weis to get the balloons??
