WV PA MD VA Chickenstock in Martinsburg, WV. Sat. April 25th 10 -2

Any black or partidge pullets/hens. Around 2 or 3 of them. A nice breeder quality bird or a show quality bird if she has a couple. Thanks so much Erin.

I emailed her and PM'd her, so she should hopefully get my message.

Ok, so as soon as you folks get home I want an update!!

Tell me how much fun you had!! I really wish I could have been there to meet you all, but it was just too far to come to just hang out. And I am NOT allowed to buy anymore birds.

It was so much fun!! I still have birds though. There was an early morning mob scene and then just a trickle. I was fairly restrained and only bought a pair of blue wheaton ameraucanas and a marans pullet from peachick!

I had such a great time, everyone!! That was awesome. Kelpie's right. There was a flood before we even got started then just a trickle... but if you had it at 9:00, you coulda sold it!

The TSC was very happy that we drummed up so much business, they invited us back whenever we want to have another ChickenStock.

I didn't get to see Jesse once we got started but I've heard from many folks who were previously unaware about NPIP that they are going to get certified... So this was a positive for everyone involved.

Great Job!!

WOW! I had so much fun! It was a mob scene! People were buying my birds before they were even tested! I would have to say, sir, I will be happy to sell them too you just as soon as their blood is drawn! I sold all of my adult birds by the time jesse was done with them. It was great. Sold all my chicks and people even paid for roosters! The best part was having a chance to meet these ladies. I cannot wait to do it again. I even brought home 2 lionhead bunnies. I am going to send TSC a thank you card. I got there early and they were so nice to me and truly excited to have us!

I had my kids so I just did a run-through. I was glad I got to meet Msbear, and buy some birds from Kelpie. I wish I could have stayed longer and gotten to talk to more of you. I didn't even see Majestic Farm or Peachick set up anywhere

Prolly 'cause my monsters committed mutiny after about 5 minutes.

Kelpie- I'm in love with my bantam ameraucanas. If you have any left I'll buy them. How old are they??

I'm glad you love them! I think they hatched about 7-8 days ago. I just kept one silver because it came from the brightest blue egg so I could not resist. I am wanting some more eggs though from the same breeder, you interested if you have to wait for them to hatch?

Lauren, I wondered why you weren't theren lol. I was probably over having my birds tested. Sorry I missed you. I thought maybe you would like my dark brahmas. I sold them all. I am glad she is planning on keeping them together though.

Hi folks,

I saw the ad on craigslist and dropped by yesterday. The "backyard chickens" part didn't sink in until this morning, as I don't use this forum much. I didn't realize there was an eastern panhandle presence on here.

I drove by around 10:30 to pick up some honeybees and could only see 1 tent, so figured that it hadn't gotten full swing yet.

Came back around 12:00 and parked, but there was only a couple of cages of bantams, a few chicks, a Blue Seal table, a few rabbits, and the ark.

I was going to sign on and offer to participate next year to boost the numbers a bit, and then saw this thread.

So, are y'all saying it was much bigger earlier, and I just missed it?

okay! i had so much fun! i cant wait to do it again next year!! it was so nice to meet all of you! I brought nearly 30 birds and sold all but a couple of chicks. i am very pleased! i hope to see everyone again this fall!
