She was supposed to be a Black Copper Marans but I’m not so sure. She had feathered legs when she was a chick but they vanished! And the bottom half of her beak is yellow. No idea what’s going on, but we will see if she is a Marans when she lays an egg! Lol. She’s such a nice girl. I adore her.

How many birds total do you have? You may have already mentioned. If you only have the ones in the pics, then it's not too crowded at the moment. But they are gonna keep growing!
I certainly hope things keep going well with her being in the big girl pen.
Maybe she'll grow up to be a well mannered little lady!

It’s not huge, but it’ll work for now I think! The run is 12x8. I only plan on keeping 6 chickens in this coop once they are grown. I have another, larger coop and am working on a new run that’s 15x35 and that’s where I plan to keep 10 more chickens. I only have 13 right now so there is wiggle room of who goes where.

And great idea to add clutter. I’ll do that. I’m feeling great after today though. The see-don’t-touch method seems to have worked well in this case. Plus my 3 big girls are super docile.

I have 13 total. 3 big girls and the 10 babies. They have definitely grown quite a bit since that picture. I need to definitely move them to a bigger set up soon, if not just for the sake of how fast it gets dirty. Here is the 9 babies eating peacefully this afternoon after the bully was removed.
