Wyandotte Hen or Roo?

Were they sold as sexed pullets?
No. I live just outside of Huntsville, AL and there is a lady that has a small hatchery. She sold them to me as straight line. Guess I need to get online and find a hatchery that sexes them. I gotta find homes for some roo's first.

That just depends on your goals and the amount of risk you are willing to take in building your flock. Buying sexed birds is best if you are focused primarily on egg production and not willing/able to sort out a high percentage of surprise cockerels - but it does not necessitate working only with an online hatchery as there are ways to source sexed birds outside of those hatcheries. If, though, you are up to dealing with the possibility of 50%+ of the birds you start ending up as males then there is no "need" to purchase only sexed pullets.
