My Blue Laced Red Wyandotte has just started laying one egg every other day after molt. She was the same size about as my other two Golden Comets while she was molting. Now, since she started laying she has been putting on the pounds. She is obviously very fat now, should I be worried? Could there be a problem?

Advice to a novice chickener!!

MY girls all went from lean to big-butts once they started laying. It's like girls becoming women - once they get into childbearing age they start getting more mature figures.

Also your Wyandottes are a dual breed, they're for eggs and meat as well so they will be bigger than your other LF chickens.
