I have 5 Wyandotte pullets that I am raising in hopes of breeding them to my Buff Laced roo. They all look very 'henny' except one of them that has a HUGE comb compared to the others. She's definitely a girl, approximately 4 months old now and no roo feathers or characteristics at all, just a really wide, kinda big pink comb. developed at the same rate as the other girls but her comb just looks oddly large for a girl...
Not sure if it was about ducks or chickens but I remember reading somewhere that hens with masculine characteristics aren't good for breeding because of possible infertility or something... is this true with chickens?
She's a sweet, good looking girl but if this is true then she doesn't really have a purpose for me. Thanks for any help.
