LOL ~ good to know re: hackle feathers @ 4 mths. Got a couple of months to go before I know for sure. I think. LOL. Love them little chickies and don't mind one cockeral, but just the one, mind you!



We already have a danish brown leghorn roo started out as my son's *hen*.... (see above). That's me with our cross beak "Frankie" and our roo, Summer Boy (started out as hen, Summer. LOL). Summer Boy isn't much of a roo. Any loud noises and he runs and hides ~usually under the nearest hen or chook. HA! He's a sweetie though and we'll keep him for a pet. Along with Frankie of course!
