So, I was on YouTube last night looking at chickens. I found this one that was absolutely gorgeous to me!! Are they good egg layers? I found someone that has some. The only problem is that they're selling them in pairs. I got rid of 1 rooster this evening bc I only have 4 hens and everyone said that I don't need 2 roosters for that small amount. If I get these, then I'll have 2 roosters again..

Wyandottes are my favorite breed. Beautiful and great layers of nice large brown eggs. In high demand.
They are popular, so wait on those Wyandottes. Don't get a pair. Wait to find chicks, hatching eggs, or hens.

I love all my dottes

The first time I saw an adult golden laced Wyandotte sealed the deal for me. They aren't the greatest layers (4-5/week) but they make up for that in looks. They are actually a common chicken and your local feed store will stock them.
I saw a silver laced one and fell in love!!

Actually, there were several that I saw that I loved but this one stood out a little more than the rest.
