Bob, will you use the chokecherries to make jelly or something?

Already did, it looks like apple jelly but does not taste like apple jelly. The cherries gave off a lemon smell while they were being cooked.

The Rocky Mountain Bee plant is attracting the usual suspects from bumblebees, honeybees, sweat bees and lots of flies.

Gathering in eggs and poults

When I checked this morning she had five more poults and five eggs left. I made the mistake of grabbing her first so the poults scattered while I was moving her. When I took the eggs and a couple of the poults to her, she immediately claimed the nest, eggs and poults. I will check how she is doing later and will probably give her back the 5 poults I put in with the guinea keets yesterday.

I have six Sweetgrass that were hatched earlier. The first four are at least 3 weeks older than the two youngest ones. The older four turned out to be three toms and one hen. The younger ones are probably one tom and one hen.

The two bigger toms are gobbling when they are separated from daddy.

It was a cool 46* degrees here in Carbon county this morning. We're starting to see more deer and fewer antelope. Maybe fall is coming?

If you had a garden, you would not be in such a hurry for the fall frosts to come.

I knew it was August because I got a glimpse of a hummingbird on the 1st. I did not get anything more than a glimpse until a couple of days ago.
