They are wild. They are also xeric. If you tried to grow them where they receive too much water, they will die.

I checked yesterday and the Yellow Prairie Violets are up. They are not in bloom yet. They are another one that will die if they get too much water.

I haven't seen anything like the Sand Lilies around here. Not sure about Yellow Prairie Violets.

You can stumble right over the Sand Lilies unless you are specifically looking for them. I went out chasing a loose guinea 3 days ago and nearly stepped on some. I went back the next day and couldn't find them. Yesterday and the day before I had no problem finding them.
