This is the kind of ground squirrel I have here. The neighborhood cats tend to keep them under control.

Your ground squirrels are cuter than mine Bob but I bet mine are bigger and could take your's down in a wrestling match :lol:
They still make holes everywhere and cause lots of damage. If they get too bad I just shove a TomCat "Bait Chunx" down their holes. It works on the voles also.

Might have to check that TomCat stuff out. Do places like TSC sell it?
Just about everywhere sells it. I usually get mine at Menards. It is available in smaller quantities but they usually come with the bait station which doesn't work really good for larger rodents.
 
J.P. Connell rose. It is one of the Canada rose varieties and is hardy here. I don't do anything to protect it through the winter and it comes back every year. The bloom starts out yellow and as the sun hits it, it turns ivory.
