Nope. They do have a goldfish pond and little tiny showers available to them anytime. One of the fun time views was when a flock of young of the year Cedar Waxwings came through and made great use of the showers. I have watched hummingbirds take their refreshments in mid hover from the showers.

The Western Kingbirds were different in that they would swoop over the pond as they got a drink on the fly while other birds would simply stand on the shore to get their drinks.

It's so fun to be able to see things like the birds enjoying the pond and showers. Guess you don't need a bath for them after all. What about a heated towel rack?

I don't think so, I don't want them to overstay their welcome. Nor do I wish to provide them with an item that they would choose to crap all over.

I finally caught the Blue Jay on her nest.

I have only been finding at most, one egg a day and have been going multiple days without finding any eggs. I felt that there had to be a hidden nest but just couldn't find it.

Today I came home from grocery shopping. There was a lone raven being harassed by Grackles but it kept making passes over the guinea pen until the grackles won and it left.

When I got time, I checked out the guinea pen and found eggs all over the place which led me to the discovery of the hidden nest. The raven found the nest and had eaten at least 3 eggs. There was one egg that was badly cracked.

I fired up the incubator and will be adding the found eggs along with the ones that I have been collecting. One good thing is that after the raven attack, one hen decided to put her egg in the nest in the coop.

Hopefully I will have keets in 4 weeks.
