I just found honeybees in my chicken feed they must be looking for protein. They shouldn’t be out yet here…

I gave them some water with honey mixed in and put them in the greenhouse. Futile efforts, I’m sure. But they’re slurping up the water/honey mix like crazy.

There’s one out flying around the hibernating rose bushes now. Wish I could help it.

Really bad idea. They need to be out so they can return to their hive.

This unseasonably warm weather has the bees flying daily.

I know that mine have visited my neighbor's feeder and gathered the feed fines just like they would gather pollen in season.

I let them out once they were flying around, no worries! I figured they’d go back to their hive for warmth, because that’s what I read. I hope they did.

Yes they looked all dusty from the feed, I wondered if they collected it since it’s a protein like pollen. A few were definitely dead on the feeder though. Idk if they were too cold or what.

Yours are out flying about, too? Don’t they get too cold right now?
