X-Mas Tree

Ours has been up for a week today

We bought a nice fake one last year. It is a slim tree so it fits in our tiny house, we love it!

Don't feel bad for me, Christmas has never been a big deal for my family. Half of them don't observe it for religious reasons, and the other half is just too cheap. Okay, now it's getting a little sad.

Really though, it's okay. It's only lonely on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, then everyone forgets all about it and moves on. God, I'm trying to say don't feel sad and now I just sound pathetic!

Laurajean that IS sad. Not the little tree part, but the being alone on the holidays part.

I've gotta give it some thought, there's gotta be a way all us here on BYC can include you in our holiday.

trees been up for a few days now! !!!

a beautiful 7 foot prelit with berries and pincones tree!! i got a steal on this past friday from Home-depot. It was the last one for $49.00 orignally $100.00 !!

Ours is up...the kids have made it a ritual to get up the day after Thanksgiving and put the tree up. Takes all day too. The house gets all decorated, including the outside. All that I have to do is keep their bickering down to a minimum!

I'm putting up a table top tree....I know, I know.....kind of lame, but it will still look pretty, and I do have a great reason. My puppy...Fionna. She will knock it down and beat the crap out of it for sure if I put a normal one up. Plus, I'm getting older. I don't want to fuss with decorations so much. The kids are nearly grown, the youngest being 17.

My 12 INCH tree will get popped up into my window sill within the next week or so. I live alone and don't get much holiday company, so that little guy works perfectly for my needs. That and a few lights around the window interior and some red candle centerpieces, etc. Simple and easy, yet adds the holiday touch.

Well now I gotta say, if you don't get company and want company you gotta invite me. I know enough not to over stay my welcome. ( I figure an hour or so is good). Ya know the best visits are just coffee and a biscuit (cookie). Some store cookies are very good so if you don't bake that's fine by me.

No tree here, much too lazy. I drag out a Christmasy centerpiece and stick it on the table, and put two wreaths on the doors, for the grandkids. Didn't do anything at all when there were no kids around.
