Picking... I've never had that problem with my meat chickens. I've heard some people say that picking happens because they aren't getting a good diet. I've also heard that it's sometimes due to overcrowding. I've also heard that sometimes they just start doing it, and the only "cause" was that one saw another doing it, and it spread. I like to think I'm doing something right to avoid this problem, but all I can say is that I've never had that problem.
