We are having one heck of a chinch bug infestation in our backyard and it's now moving to the front. Like, so bad it looks like our ground is moving :rant
I called around and all of the companies said they wouldnt recommended spraying if our chickens free range but if they're in a run then they will just not spray that area. We have 7 chicks in a 35 x 25 run so they dont NEED to roam the yard. I'm still nervous though. Does anyone have experience in a situation like this or have recommendations how to get rid of these bugs in a more chicken friendly way?

We're on 1/2 an acre if that makes a difference. Almost all of it has these chinch bugs. They're even starting to climb on my house 😫

Dang...I have chinch bugs and was hoping to see some good advice on this thread. Good luck to you.

Mine have finally slowed down. I set my birds loose on them and that helped. I also sprinkled food grade diatomaceous earth on my fence and along it. The bugs are coming from my neighbors so if I just need to keep them put.
