I would have bought it

and the cute little basket next to it. I have been looking for one of those baskets.

With the price of coffee these days - they are probably thinking the left over fumes are worth the 50 cent.

My g-ma in law does stuff like that. She had empty maple syrup jugs, little ones... empty... old... for $1... and like an old canning jar for $2... per jar... it's just that she wants things that she's kept to actually have value to other people too.

I'd have bought it. I don't drink - won't drink - Folger's coffee and I want some of those red plastic containers with the sort of built in handle on the side. I have uses for them. I refuse to buy the coffee to get one. I wish I had saved the one I bought new (with coffee in it) a couple of years ago, before I discovered how awful Folger's coffee tastes.

We have dozens and dozens of Maxwell House coffee cans around they are good for so many things trouble is I am not good about labeling things so when I go to find something I have to look through dozens and dozens of coffee cans.

I've been using those empty coffee cans to ship eggs in.... i wrap the eggs in bubble wrap and then put them in the can..then put the can in a box surrounded by crumpled up newspapers and more bubble wrap...
So far its helped the eggs not getting crushed...
