Yawning?

This is the feed we are using, not actually sure if it is corn feed. I assumed it was because my brother came over and told me that it smells like corn

I have a Brahma who is still growing at almost 18 months. She was "yawning" a lot, too. I posted about it here on BYC, and someone (can't remember who) suggested I get her more protein. The person suggested that she might have been stuffing her crop trying to fulfill her nutritional needs, and that caused her to have to adjust her crop frequently. I upped her protein, and she stopped adjusting her crop as often.

Edited to add: But 20% is good. Are they eating anything other than this feed? Any treats or anything?

I thought you meant straight corn.

First ingredient is wheat, which makes it the majority of the feed. Corn comes in second which makes slightly less, then soybean meal which is a less then corn, & so on.

I feed 24% Chick Starter grower feed for game chicks, & chicken chicks.

I found that chicks grow to slow on 20%, so I switched to 24%.
