Yawning?

I noticed one of my hens opening her beak repeatedly, like she was yawning. What is the purpose of this? Something stuck in her throat?

She could have something stuck in her crop. Just keep an eye on her. As long as she's eating and drinking ok I wouldn't worry to much. If she keeps doing it, you might want to put a little mineral or olive oil in a eye dropper and put a few drops down her throat and see if that helps. Just make sure if you do that, that you get it out her throat, and not in her lungs. Alot of times you can put a few drops of oil on the curve of her peak, and she will lick it off.
