Yay! We got our first egg!!!

Seems like we have been waiting forever but one of our 3 girls (28 wk Sussex) laid an egg yesterday! It was a double yoker too! Is that usual for a first egg? It was huge and made a mini omelette. I am impressed. Haven't seen anymore today even though Millie the hen has been in the hen house making an awful lot of noise! javascript:insert_text('

Congrats !! We got our first one yesterday (Sunday) Not sure who laid it, we have 23 girls. But it was beautiful!! We also rehomed our roo yesterday too, wonder if that had anything to do with that? They all turned 23 weeks today !

I'm still waiting for my first egg. My girls are going on 20 weeks and 5 of them have very red faces and combs! Hopefully I'll get one any day now!
