Yay we have eggs!!!

Weve had our hens for about 6 months... they were supposed to be 4 months old when we got them. A friend of ours started having eggs when her hens were 4 months!! Ive learned its about breed I guess. But Ive impatiently been waiting for eggs. Today I found three eggs!! We only have two hens in that coop. Im told they only lay one egg a day... but theres three eggs and Ive been checking everyday. Did i miss them before or is it possibly one of the hens laid three in one day? or one laid two and one laid one in the same day for their first time?

My silver-laced wyandotte hen laid two eggs her first day of laying. I'm positive they were both laid within about two hours of each other based upon circumstances at the time that take too long to explain.

Anyway, yes, it's possible and a lovely surprise and reward when it does occur.
