I have the start of my coop [IMG] My poor babies are getting too tall for their box on my back porch. My Fiance had a friend of his come help him get started this weekend. So far, the cost has been FREE! When I moved in 5 years ago the concrete slab was already there. Previous to this weekend my Fiance cleared it off and used the chainsaw to cut down some trees that were starting to grow up around it. It's made so far of pallets that he's gotten free from work. It's almost 5 feet long and 3.5-4 feet wide. I'm 5 foot tall and it comes up to the top of my shoulders as far as height goes. We'll be putting the run off to the right.

    teach1rusl Love My Chickens

Nice start! I'm sure those chicks will love having a lot more space! Make sure your fiance leaves a BIG opening (an entire half, based on photo) for the people access door, since it will not be a comfortable height to walk inside for cleaning/maintenance!
