I don't know what happened, technically, but one black cat looked awful guilty. When I came home from work, I heard chirping coming from the closet, I thought yeah another chick just hatched

the incubator was knocked over and three chicks are freezing, one very near death, you know the head stretching back kinda of thing. I run around with three chicks in my sweatshirt pocket, screaming, "CHICKS DYING HELP ME FIND HEAT" They I ran to the fireplace heater, cranked it up, and sat there with the little biddies as they warmed up, all along, pushing the almost died one a little to keep it awake. I did save them, all are doing great. Well except for the three other eggs that didn't get to hatch. I have 2 bantam Lavender Ameraucana and one Porcelain D'Uccle. Yeah for me , I saved 3 biddies lives

And that is why my cats are never left alone around chicks or incubators. I just don't trust them NOT to get curious.

I am glad you were able to get to them in time to warm them up!

Congrats on saving your babies!

My incubators and brooders live in my spare room which has a gate bolt fitted to make sure the kitties can't get in there to the 'snacks'.

Good job! I'm so glad you saved the babies.

I'm sorry about the eggs. Are you sure they're goners?

I know that is why I have them in the closet, I think what happened was I was running late for work and forgot to close the door. It was my own fault.
