Yellow gunk in ear

My rooster has some yellow gunk in his ear. I read a post on here and it said how to clean the ear so I did that yesterday. I left the neosporin in there and today he has yellow gunk again. I don't know if its the neosporin or an infection? He acts normal but I would really like to get rid of the yellow gunk. Help!
