Thanks thats great information... and funny enough I am already doing all the things suggested in the article...
I dont just have the 2 puppies, I have 2 older dogs too. so one of the puppies gets crated with my 13 year old dog, and the other puppy gets crated with my other 18 month old min pin in another room.
they get walked separately and trained separately because my DD is the owner of one and my DH is the owner of the other so their schedules are different, therefore different schedules for the pups
when they get playing to rough I break it up but thats usually when they are rough housing with the cat
(who loves it he will roll over and call them)
Taraann min pins are hard to house train but hopefully these two will fall in line with my other one. She is litter trained, as well as outside trained.
Abby, my 18 month old min pin has a puppy pad in a shallow plastic container a bit bigger then a litter pan. If I am say in the basement and cant hear her knocking on the back door to get out she will go to the pee pad in the litter box and go. She will also do this when I am say upstairs in the shower, making beds. When I am away from the room for an extended amount of time. (my dogs are not allowed up stairs to the bedrooms) when I am out of the home and over night they are crated and I think this is why I have had success
the puppies follow suit
