Yes or No Rabbit Poll

Oh, I know....it's one reason I've never had a cat. But I've really been considering one lately because we have a terrible rodent problem in the house. Is it possible to make a cat do its business outside in a catio?

I think it could be possible but I’m not sure. My cat never really hunted though so I wouldn’t solely rely on that. Depends on the cat.

I don't and will NOT. Our animals are not pets; they have farm jobs to do - provide eggs or meat, weed or pest control, alarm system, or bodyguards. I hear rabbit meat is tasty - but I can barely butcher a chicken, let alone such an adorable, fluffy, moon-eyed creature like a rabbit.
The only thing I imagine pet rabbits could do for us is maybe lure the foxes and coyotes closer for target practice.

I get frequent escapees. Takes me days sometimes to catch them! Last one was out a couple of days before he realized that the food was in the cage, as well as water (the biggy) and we managed to get him that way.

Granted, I need new hutches. Which I should have in a couple of weeks. Another reason to get more rabbits!!! Seriously thinking about starting to breed purebred ones.

We have a cat who was dumped here last year as a 5 week old kitten. She is a champion mouser! Indoor cat, too.

We take the mice away from her and toss them to the ducks and chickens.

That’s awesome! Mine never really hunted even when younger except the occasional bug lol she watches prey but doesn’t catch it

I'll keep an outdoor rabbit hutch then. It can ruin it's own house. I saw @Isadora 's drywall issue.

Most hutches are much too small, not safe, cheaply made yet pricey, and you won't be able to bond with them as much.
The best way to prevent chewing is to provide lots of toys, high quality hay, bunny proof, and spay/neuter. It really depends on the rabbit, some just like to chew everything, and others will only chew toys. Most rabbit rescues will be able to tell you if the rabbit is a trouble maker or not.

I've got two bun buns, they live in the house in a hutch and get let out into the kichen every day.
They are sisters, and get on very well together.
