Yet another bobcat attack (Caution: GRAPHIC PICS

Your local feed store should have electric fencers, wire and insulators. They should be able to instruct you on how to use it and set it up.

Felines are good at zooming off after you shoot them. The one you shot is probably dead.

Like already stated your local feed store should have what you need. You may find this guild helpful if you have never used electric fence before.

Most of what you read considers keeping your animals inclosed within the fence, but you are trying to keep problems out. For that you will want one or two hot wires, low to the ground, attached as close to your exsisting fence as you can.
From your pictures I don't think you will not need to add many if any new posts. You may be able to install insulators on your exsiting fence posts.

Good luck.

IMO once this critter is habituated and knows how to break in they will be back. Best to not make this problem someone elses best to shoot habituated animals. I do not like killing anything but this animal hanging around doing so much damage will just be back and if it is not doign it to you it will be doing it to someone else.

The idea of trapping live and removing to somewhere else is nice but not really ... where to release and is that just returning a habituated animal to another near by community to have a tragety like you have had. What if someone dumped this cat on you. Really does nto seam fair then to you, the chickens or the cat.

Sometimes people think they have released and done a good thing...only to release a cat on someone like me and since the animal has learned to kill aroudn humans...they continue. Best to not let them teach others and thier young.

Just MO.
