Ok, I had 11 straight run RIR's. We were allowed to trade roos for hens. At around 6 weeks, we traded in 5 that were most definately roos. Now they are 10 weeks old, and the 6 that were not traded in are confusing me
I KNOW one of the trade in hens is a roo( how lucky are we? trade a roo for a roo LOL) They are growing at such different rates. I'm thinking the 2 pictured above are roos. But there is another one whose comb is almost as big, and pinker than the other 3.
Do hens get any of the green feathers?
Do you think the roo I got for a trade is probably younger than the others?
Could it really take an extra month for their "roo-ness to show?
And what are the chances of getting 8 roos out of 11? Sheesh, my luck!
