Yet another snakebit dog :(

I've heard that you can boost the rattle snake vaccine several times a year. It might be worth it in your case to give all your dogs the shot every 3 months or so.

Chat with your vet about it.

I hope your puppy pulls through. Poor thing.

I am really sorry about your puppy getting bit! Please keep us updated and I hope that she is ok.

Maggie came home today, and she's doing great!! Even if she did pee in my lap on the way home like a flood. She's so happy to see the other dogs, and they are glad she's back. Luckily she didn't get much venom, and the reason she was so droopy was shock. I wasn't exactly pleased that our vet was keeping her in the cage above two puppies with Parvo though

As for the Guinea, I got 6 Hatchery choice from Ideal. I ended up with 2 White, 1 Pied and 3 Pearl. I love them, so far, they are 1 month old and are are not as loud as I had expected.

Good work with the shock collars. I truly believe you cannot beat the training of a shock collar in cases like this.

Keep up the good work and I am very glad you got her home safe..

Maybe everytime you and your husband(even your neighbors) find and kill a snake you could use the dead body for further refreshers. Better safe than sorry.

Yikes! Does the clinic not have an isolation area for contagious puppies? I wouldn't have been pleased either...
Glad the pup is doing well.
