21st day of incubation was Thurs. One chick pipped Fri evening and it and a second one were out of the shells this morning, Sat. One more chick has been peeping all day in the shell but hasn't pipped yet and the other 7 eggs (which looked to be developing normally when candled a week ago) aren't doing anything.

I am hatching at 5000+ altitude in a styrofoam incubator with a fan and have been keeping the humidity at 45 till 3 days before the due date, then upped it to 50-55. Both air holes are open. The temp has been at 99-100. Both temp and humidity have been jumping around the past couple of days and I'm struggling to keep it all steady, checking on it through the nights.

Does anyone have any ideas for me? I am going nuts!

I would up the humidity to 65.

Good luck

I would crank up the humidity too. Add warm, damp sponges if you have to. The chicks could get stuck in the shell without sufficient humidity at hatch.

Good luck, and please keep us posted.
